Guns in Schools

It really saddens me that so many people think that someone with a gun is going to go crazy simply because they have a weapon. I have a concealed carry permit and carry a weapon every day. Before that I sometimes carried my weapon openly. The one thing I will say is that doing this makes you behave better and be nicer to people because you realize what an important right you have to be able to defend yourself and you don't want to do anything or get into any kind of legal trouble that might jeopardize that right.

I know this has been said many times but if your a criminal or plan to kill someone your going to get a weapon and carry it wherever you want. Your not going to stop at the school door because it is illegal to enter. I have 2 family members that are law enforcement officers and I know for a fact that as a general rule people who get concealed carry permits tend to be more careful and are more educated with weapons than police are. I say this because police are focused on their job and a gun is just a tool they have. While someone with a CCW permit had to go to a lot of time and expense to carry their weapon concealed and they most likely wouldn't do that unless they had a love for guns and their rights as well as the laws and responsibilities that go along with self defense and the defense of others.
