Default Who leaked to the NYT?

Somebody leaked what BO and Bush were SUPPOSED to have discussed in a so-called PRIVATE meeting. Did BO OK the leak to the NYT? If he did he can kiss the chances of EVER having a 'private meeting' with any world leader goodbye. And just to 'stick it to Bush' one last time. How lame is that? A lot of world leaders may hate Bush but here's a news flash. They hate having what they discuss in a private meetings leaked even more. If BO didn't OK the leak he's hired some staffers who decided what will and won't be leaked. You may hate Bush but he did not tolerate leakers. It's like termed 'undermining the Presidency.
"Good morning President Chavez. President Obama would like to invite you and your lovely wife to the White house next week. President Obama has invited President Ahmadinejad. The President would like to have some confidential private meeting with you both to discuss sensitive issues" Chavez: CLICK.

This sort of thing happens all the time, in the US and abroad, and chances are, it wasn't actually "secret" if they allowed it to be leaked. Bush would have more say in that still, because he is still the active president. He probably wanted it leaked so people would see his willingness to speak and work with Obama, and leave "gracefully" as he has said he wants to do.

Keep in mind, he will go down in history as out most hated President, no doubt about that. He only has a few months to restore his image a little. Even publishers are telling he should wait to write his memoirs because it won't sell. I think he is trying to squeeze in some damage control. Obama, however, had no reason to leak it.

What's wrong with your head? The leak was given to the fuc***** NYT!
The NYT article showed Bush in a negative light. Why on Gods green earth would Bush want to leak something that made him look even worse to a paper with a long history of 'Bush hatred syndrome' . They don't even bother denying it any longer. Give your head a shake.
YES YES you are a BO sycophant but please have the maturity/personal integrity to understand that every time someone takes a dump on the planet it is not Bush's fault.
You LIBs love to 'Hate Bush' but you behave exactly the way you claim you hate to see other people behave.
The rat/snitch who leaked to the NYT is now happily embedded in the BO staff. Guess what? A rat can always be bought. BO better watch his back.

That seemed like a bit of a disproportionate response to what I said. I didn't demonize Bush in my response, and I don't actually think he came off too badly with that leak, not at the core of things. I just think his original intention was to show an openness to meet with the new Pres Elect...why did that warrant such an angry outburst?

Tonight even James Carvell said it was BO staffers who leaked to the NYT on CNNs 'Situation Room'.
Carvell said BO would be "knocking some heads together". Don't automatically believe every time someone craps on the planet it's Bush's fault.
Soon Bush will be gone and your 'Messiah' will have to deliver on all the promises he made. Then we'll see.

I'm not saying there was no chance it was Obama's camp, it's just that it being from him specifically didn't seem likely at all. There was no reason for it. He is next in line for president, it already obvious he is pushing people to start things off now, and you made it seem as though he somehow had something do personally with it.

I don't think Obama is some kind of Messiah. He won't fix all the problems, but what he will do is get the ball rolling, something Bush refused to do. The rest of the country gets to clean up a mess that was perpetrated during Bush's time in office. Pretend it's coincidental all you want, but that's wishful thinking to the point of foolishness.

Bush was not a good leader. He was not an intelligent one, he was not a strong one. Most of his decisions were for his and his friends benefits. Thats how he will go down in history. I was just pointing out that things he HAS said recently, and done, not to mention his admission that he wants to leave gracefully seems to show him trying to turn public opinion as much as possible before it's too late.

oo------- go back and read your first post on this thread.
Your first thought was 'it must have been Bush' who OKed the leak. You don't have a clue about Bush obviously. YES YES you hate him that's fine. Just don't let that hate spoil your common sense. Bush is no LIB primo donna prancing up and down the White house corridors filling his day up with fabricated 'intrigues'. He does not tolerate leaks. Even his most virulent LIB enemies will concede that. Carvell said tonight it was BO staffers who wanted to "establish their own gravitas" who did the leaking and BO was going to be "knocking some heads together".
