Rights of parents

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that kids today are more out of control than they were 10 - 20 years ago? I see 10 year old children who back talk to their parents, or 16 year olds who basically do as they please.

When I was growing up my parents said jump and I said how high. Today kids show little respect for authority and do so because they know that if their parents do anything they can be charged for abuse even when thats not the case.

The government has made it hard for parents to properly punish their children.
