With the recent financial crisis, one thing that has been overlooked are the environmental problems. Global warming, pollution, recycling, things that damage the ozone... I could go on forever with the list of environmental problems. These problems may not seem too bad now, but over time, damage will grow exponentially, and before we know it, our world will be a mess.
People need to be taught to recycle, maybe offer some kind of incentive. There needs to be regulations against high polluting factories (need to fix up their things to create less pollution). Cars need to go through tests to make sure they are fine (We've all seen cars that spout black smoke) Fixing the economy may be a priority at the moment, but the environment cannot be overlooked. |
