Alternative energy source research

A problem that cannot be denied is the problem involving energy sources.

Every since the late 1800's people have relied on petroleum. North America has pretty much been drained dry, and now the world relies on Asia, specifically the Middle east. But it's only a matter of time before the Middle east runs dry on petroleum as well. We cannot get too comfortable on petroleum.

People have been researching on alternative methods, such as solar and nuclear, but neither are efficient enough to provide the energy that petroleum has.

Petroleum is also not environmentally friendly at all, and is rising in price, so those are more reason why people should spend money researching alternative methods.
