I honestly thought he was going to lose, although I'm a supporter. I was about 90% sure that McCain would have won the electoral votes. When it was first announced that he was in the lead it brought me great joy but I was not as thrilled as I figured that McCain would of soon caught up. That was not the case of course, and when it was announced that Obama had won I was completely amazed and happy at the same time.
I watched his speech and went to sleep a bit late that night. All I can say is I'm looking forward to some positive change and for once, I didn't feel like I was cheated out of my vote or opinion. I think most Americans felt the same, and even those who supported McCain eventually came to reason and decided to accept Obama even if they didn't like him 100%. |

I am a big supporter of Barack Obama and I felt a bit of concern going into the election but I was the opposite, about 90% sure he was going to win. All the polls were putting Obama on top and as soon as things got rolling it was clear he was going to carry to the top and that he did by doubling Mccain in electoral votes!

I had predicted that Obama would win. He was a great speaker compared to McCain.
Obama was always objective in his speeches. He made strong points in governing the nation as well as drawing out negative impact from the other candidates. If anything, McCain was the republican's last hope for winning the presidential election and it didn't succeed. |

This is the first time in my life I have contributed to a political campaign or candidate. I'm doing pretty well, I'm a professional with a doctorate degree and I know I could go anywhere and make some sort of living. Probably better then most. What concerns me is the world my children will live in. I could not imagine another four years on the path this country was taking. I personally have a great deal invested in you, not money so much as faith. I supported you against the advise of friends and family because I believe in the things you've said you want to do. Even our 9 year old daughter was inspired by your speeches and has become a political junkie over the course of the past two years. It is hope which has kept us engaged, please help me make this place better for her.
